The weather was cold with a lot of rain, typical for January at Lake Shasta, but the fishing was great for numbers.  It was pretty hard for me to catch fish over 1 lb 4 oz.  I caught fish from shallow in the afternoons down to 50 ft during the mornings and day times.  The fish were caught drop shot, dart head, shakey head, and senko.  All browns and greens.  I had to fish real slow and let the baits sit.  The fish weren't very aggressive.  

Day 1 for the tournament started off great for me, I had 9 lbs 9 oz, better than I had thought.  Day 2 , I had 7 lbs 11 oz.  Day 3, I had 6 lbs 13 oz, missing a check by 7 oz.

I caught about 30 keepers a day, I just had trouble getting bigger bites.  BUMMER!
